Lance A. Liotta M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Liotta is Co-Director of the George Mason University Center for Applied Proteomics and Molecular Medicine, where he is Professor of Life Sciences. He is Medical Director of the GMU Clinical Proteomics Laboratory. Dr. Liotta is the Former Chief of the Laboratory of Pathology, National Cancer Institute, NIH. He is the former Co-Director of the NCI-FDA Clinical Proteomics Program. He is the former Deputy Director for Intramural Research, NIH. He received an M.D./ Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Liotta has invented technology in the fields of diagnostics, nanotechnology, immunoassays, microdissection, and proteomics. He is listed among the top most highly cited scientists. He holds more than 90 issued or allowed patents for his work, and has published more than 650 papers.
