Darryle D. Schoepp Ph.D

Darryle D. Schoepp Ph.D. is Senior Vice President and Franchise Head for Neuroscience at Merck Research Laboratories, with overall responsibility for scientific direction across drug discovery and development in the Psychiatric Disorders, Neurology, and Ophthalmology.  Dr. Schoepp’s research career has focused on glutamate receptor pharmacology, where he has led pioneering efforts to discover and investigate novel agents for psychiatric and neurological disorders.  Dr. Schoepp received a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from North Dakota State University in 1978, and a doctoral degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from West Virginia University in 1982.
